Canberra is not short of ballrooms, and your team has probably sat in most of them. Aranya Acres is the other option: a dining room that opens straight onto 25 acres of vines and gums, far enough out that the afternoon feels like a day away, and close enough that nobody has to take leave to get here. The food comes off the same à la carte the restaurant runs every night, the bar pours Canberra District wine from a cellar door that is literally downstairs, and there is not a patterned carpet in the building.

Twelve to thirty guests dine as a group from the two-course set menu, priced by tier — Vegetarian $67, White Meat $72, Pescatarian $76, Red Meat $80 — every main served with the Summer Leaf Salad, and guests mixing freely across the tiers. Dessert adds $16. From thirty guests it becomes a function with a space of your own: roaming canapés at $10 each, the Wild Harvest Board on arrival at $19 per person, or a Custom Shared Banquet from $70 per person built with Chef de Cuisine Praneel Singh. Drinks run on a bar tab — House, Premium or Ultimate — where you nominate the limit and everything is rung in at menu price as it is poured.

Everyone at the Table Gets Fed
Booking for forty people is partly a risk decision. Somewhere in that forty is a coeliac, someone who uses a wheelchair, and two people who have quietly stopped expecting venues to get it right.
The entrance, seating, toilet and car park are wheelchair accessible. Every dish on the menu is coded for gluten and thirteen other allergens. And the kitchen is fully coeliac friendly — separate preparation areas, separate equipment and separate handling — so cross-contamination is controlled rather than hoped against.

Common Questions
Can you host a work Christmas party?
Yes. End-of-year parties run as a seated set menu, roaming canapés and a bar tab, or a mix of the three, for twelve to eighty guests. December books early and Thursday and Friday nights go first, so if you are reading this close to the date it is worth calling 0481 911 122 rather than emailing.
Can we book a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday?
The restaurant trades Thursday to Sunday, but Monday to Wednesday can be arranged for exclusive bookings. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you straight away whether your date works.
Is audio-visual equipment included?
Yes. Standard AV — a microphone, a screen and sound for speeches or presentations — comes with every function at no extra charge. If you need something beyond that, tell us in your enquiry.
Can you invoice our organisation?
Yes. Quotes carry our ABN (11 658 879 497) and all pricing includes GST, confirmed in your event agreement. A booking is normally confirmed with a signed agreement and a 25% deposit with the balance due seven days before, and credit terms can be arranged in advance for corporate and government accounts. If you need a purchase order raised against a quote, say so when you enquire.
Is there a venue hire fee?
No. Most events run on a minimum spend — a total food-and-beverage commitment — rather than a separate hire charge. Reach it with your chosen packages and there is nothing further to pay for the room. Minimum spends vary by date and season and are confirmed in your quote, and smaller semi-private bookings can often run with no minimum at all.
How many people can you seat?
Twelve to thirty guests dine as a group from the two-course set menu. From thirty it becomes a function with a space of your own — up to 80 seated in the restaurant, which is our total seated capacity, or up to 90 standing once the lawn and vineyard are used.
Is the venue accessible, and can you handle dietaries?
Yes to both. The entrance, seating, toilet and car park are all wheelchair accessible. Every dish is coded for gluten and thirteen other allergens, and the kitchen runs separate preparation areas and equipment for gluten free orders, so coeliac guests are catered for properly rather than apologetically.
How do people get there, and can they leave a car?
810 Norton Road, Wamboin is about 30 minutes from Canberra CBD, fifteen from Bungendore and twenty from Queanbeyan. Parking is free and on-site, there is room for a coach, and guests are welcome to leave a car overnight and collect it the next day.
