Weddings at Aranya Acres
Your Day, Our Wilderness
An intimate vineyard wedding on 25 acres in the hills above Canberra — ceremony, reception, food and wine, all in one place.
The Setting
Golden hour over the vines
Say your vows among the rows, then move to a reception under the tin roof as the sun drops behind the hills. Three customisable packages cover ceremony and reception, with our team coordinating trusted vendor partners so the day simply flows.
Every menu is custom-designed with Chef Praneel — native Australian flavours shaped around your day — and beverages run across three tiers, from the Sapling Yard wines made in the cellar downstairs to the Sub Zero Native Series at the bar.

Ceremony in the Vines
Vows among the rows, with the Wamboin hills falling away behind you. The aisle runs between plantings on level ground, and guests are seated on the lawn edge so nobody is picking their way through the dirt in heels.
Arrival Drinks on the Lawn
The open lawn between the vineyard and the restaurant takes Canapés and Arrival Drinks while the light is still good and your photographer is stealing you away. Gums for shade, a bar set up outside, and room for lawn games if that is your kind of day.
Reception Under the Tin Roof
The dining room seats 70 for a proper sit-down dinner — long tables, native menu, Sapling Yard in the glass. It is a room built for one wedding at a time, which means the whole venue is yours for the evening rather than a function corner of somebody else’s restaurant.
Getting Here & Staying
Close enough to be easy, far enough to feel away
Aranya Acres is at 810 Norton Road, Wamboin — 30 minutes from Canberra CBD, 15 minutes from Bungendore and about 20 from Queanbeyan. Close enough that your guests can drive out for the day and taxi home; far enough that the moment they turn off the main road, the city is genuinely gone.
Parking is free and on-site, so there is no shuttle logistics to solve unless you want one. For guests who would rather not drive at all, Bungendore and Queanbeyan both have accommodation fifteen to twenty minutes away.

The Food & Drinks
Custom, Native, Yours
Sit-down feasts, shared banquets or grazing under the gums — every wedding menu is designed with the chef around the season and your story. Three beverage tiers cover local wine, craft cocktails and thoughtful non-alcoholic pours.
The People

Before You Ask
Wedding Questions
How many guests can Aranya Acres hold for a wedding?
Seventy seated inside the restaurant for a served dinner, and up to 150 when the lawn and vineyard are used as well. The sit-down reception is capped at 70.
How far is the venue from Canberra?
Thirty minutes from Canberra CBD, fifteen minutes from Bungendore and about twenty from Queanbeyan. We are at 810 Norton Road, Wamboin NSW 2620, with free on-site parking.
What do the wedding packages include?
There are three customisable packages covering ceremony and reception. Every menu is designed with Chef Praneel around the season and what you actually want to eat, and beverages run across three tiers — from the Sapling Yard wines made in the cellar downstairs to the Sub Zero Native Series at the bar. Every wedding is quoted individually — email us your date and guest numbers and we’ll send a tailored proposal.
Do we get the whole venue to ourselves?
Yes. We host one wedding at a time, so the restaurant, lawn and vineyard are yours for the day rather than a partitioned function space.
Where can our guests stay?
Bungendore and Queanbeyan both have accommodation fifteen to twenty minutes away, and Canberra is half an hour. We can help coordinate coach transfers so nobody has to worry about driving.
What happens if it rains?
The reception is under a roof regardless, and the ceremony moves indoors if the weather turns. We will walk through the wet-weather plan with you well before the day so it is a decision, not a scramble.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes — wheelchair-accessible entrance, toilet, seating and car park, and the ceremony area is on level ground.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegan and vegetarian menus are standard rather than an afterthought, and allergies and other requirements are handled in the menu design with the chef.
How do we check if our date is free?
Email hello@aranyaacres.com.au or call 0481 911 122 with your date. We reply within 24 hours.
