For The People Who Live Out Here
Your Local in Wamboin, Bungendore & Queanbeyan
A vineyard restaurant on your side of the hill. Locals’ Lunch Thursday and Friday, woodfire pizzas and trivia on Thursday nights, live music on Fridays, and takeaway whenever we are open.
Most people find us searching for a winery lunch near Canberra, and we are glad they do — but the tables that keep us going belong to the people who live out here. Aranya Acres is at 810 Norton Road, Wamboin: fifteen minutes from Bungendore, about twenty from Queanbeyan, the next locality over from Bywong, and a short run south-east of Sutton. Thirty minutes from the Canberra CBD if you are coming out from town.
That means you can come for a Thursday pizza without making an evening of the drive, and it means our midweek menu is priced for people who might be back next week rather than once a year.

What the week looks like
Thursday
Trivia night, and the oven is on
Free entry, six rounds of ten questions, $100 for the winning team and $50 for second, every Thursday at 7pm all year round. The woodfire oven runs Thursday and Sunday nights only — five pizzas from $18 to $27 on 36-hour sourdough. Bring a team, book a table, come hungry. All about Trivia Thursdays.
Friday
Live music in the vines
Jazz and acoustic sets from 7pm to 9pm most Fridays, free entry, bookings recommended. Lunch that same day is the Locals’ Lunch menu, so a Friday can start at eleven and finish well after dark if you want it to. See who is playing.

Takeaway is now on Uber Eats, and runs during all opening hours, Thursday to Sunday — the woodfire pizzas on Thursday and Sunday nights, and the rest of the menu whenever the kitchen is open. Spend $40 and save $10, or spend $80 and save $20. Order ahead and collect on your way through. Order takeaway.
