Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this website, who it goes to, and how to ask us to stop.
Last updated 18 September 2026 · Applies to www.aranyaacres.com.au, operated by Vi Avenues Pty Ltd (ABN 11 658 879 497), trading as Aranya Acres, 810 Norton Rd, Wamboin NSW 2620.
The Short Version
We do not run any forms on this website and we do not ask you to create an account here. What we do collect is anonymous, aggregated information about how people use the site, through Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta pixel and Microsoft Advertising. If you book a table, order takeaway, buy a gift card or join our mailing list, you leave this site and deal directly with Toast, our point-of-sale provider, under their privacy policy.
What We Collect On This Website
When you visit www.aranyaacres.com.au, analytics and advertising tools place cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and collect technical information. That typically includes your approximate location (usually city level, derived from your IP address), the pages you view and how long you spend on them, the site or advertisement that referred you, your device type, browser, screen size and operating system, and an anonymous identifier that lets these tools recognise a return visit.
We do not collect your name, address, phone number, date of birth or payment details on this website. There is no contact form, no booking form and no newsletter form hosted here — every one of those actions sends you to Toast.
Cookies & Tracking Tools We Use
Google Analytics 4 — measures how many people visit, which pages they read and how they move through the site. Used in aggregate to decide what to improve.
Google Ads — measures whether an advertisement led to a booking enquiry, so we are not spending money blindly. This includes a feature called enhanced conversions: where a conversion occurs, Google may match it against data you have already provided to a booking or ordering platform. Any such data is hashed — converted into an irreversible string — before it is sent, and we never see it in readable form.
Meta (Facebook) pixel — tells us whether visits arrived from our Instagram or Facebook pages and lets us show advertisements to people who have visited the site.
Microsoft Advertising (Bing UET) — the same function for search advertising on Bing.
Cloudflare — hosts this website and may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the site secure and available.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works normally without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on, and adjust advertising preferences in your Google, Meta and Microsoft accounts.
Bookings, Orders, Gift Cards & Our Mailing List
Booking a table, booking an experience, ordering takeaway, buying a gift card and subscribing to our mailing list are all handled by Toast, our point-of-sale and reservations provider. Clicking any of those buttons takes you to a Toast page. The information you enter there — your name, contact details, payment details, dietary notes — is collected by Toast and handled under Toast’s own privacy policy, not this one. We receive the booking or order details we need to serve you.
If you tell us about an allergy, an intolerance or a dietary requirement, we treat that as sensitive information. We use it to prepare your food safely and to brief the kitchen and floor team, and for nothing else.
How We Use Information, and Who We Share It With
We use what we collect to run and improve the website, to understand which of our advertising is working, to answer enquiries about weddings, functions and events, and to send our newsletter to people who asked for it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent mailing lists. Information is shared only with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf under their own terms, and with anyone we are legally required to disclose it to. Some of those providers store and process data overseas, including in the United States.
Marketing Emails
We only send our newsletter to people who signed up for it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately — you never have to give a reason. You can also email us and we will remove you.
Your Rights, and How to Reach Us
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sending you marketing. Email hello@aranyaacres.com.au or call 0481 911 122 and we will respond within a reasonable time, at no cost.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, tell us first so we have a chance to fix it. If you remain unsatisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 15 through it. Children are very welcome in the restaurant — we have a menu for them.
Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a tool that collects information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.
