As part of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Arts Trail we bring you ‘Sculpture at the Cellar Door’, when our restaurant and the vineyard grounds are adorned with sculpture. On Saturday 10 October at 3pm, we’re opening the doors for an afternoon with the artists who made them.
Arrive to a glass of sparkling — or non-alcoholic bubbles, poured with the same ceremony — and a delicious house-made grazing board. Then wander, to enjoy the art and meet the artists behind the works.
A slow Saturday in the hills, a good drink in hand, and work you can walk right up to. Come for a taste. Unwind in nature.

A house-made grazing board built the way Chef Praneel Singh builds everything here — native Australian ingredients through a kitchen with a multicultural backbone.

Where It Sits
Three businesses, one address, twenty-five acres
The sculpture is sited through the restaurant upstairs and out across the vineyard grounds — gums, open sky and vine rows, half an hour from the city. It is a walking exhibition as much as a hanging one.
Three separate businesses share the address. The restaurant, bar and rotating gallery of local artists are ours. The winery and cellar door downstairs belong to Sapling Yard Wines, who make their wine on site. The vineyard itself is managed by a third party and is currently part-way through a rejuvenation project.
Upstairs we pour an ever-changing Canberra District cellar list — Sapling Yard, Poacher’s Pantry, Surveyor’s Hill, Pankhurst and Sassafras among them — alongside the Sub Zero Native Series cocktails.

Getting Here
Half an Hour Out
810 Norton Road, Wamboin NSW 2620 — 30 minutes from Canberra CBD, 15 from Bungendore and about 20 from Queanbeyan. Free parking on site, and the entrance, seating and toilets are wheelchair accessible.

Sculpture has moved in. As part of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Arts Trail, the restaurant and the vineyard grounds at Aranya Acres are adorned with sculpture. On Saturday 10 October from 3pm we open the doors for Meet the Makers — an afternoon with the artists who made the work.

What does a ticket include?
A glass of sparkling on arrival — or non-alcoholic bubbles, poured with the same ceremony — a house-made Wild Harvest grazing board, and the run of the artwork with the artists on hand to talk about it.
Is there a non-alcoholic option?
Yes. Non-alcoholic bubbles are poured on arrival for anyone who would rather not drink, and the bar serves non-alcoholic options through the afternoon.
Do I need to book?
Yes — this one is ticketed and numbers are limited. Book through our Toast page, or call 0481 911 122 if you would rather sort it out over the phone.
Can I see the sculptures on another day?
The work is installed through the restaurant and grounds for the Arts Trail, so you can see it when you come in for lunch or dinner. Saturday 10 October is the one afternoon the artists themselves are here.
Is the venue accessible?
The entrance, dining room, toilets and car park are wheelchair accessible. Some of the sculpture is sited outside on grass and uneven ground — tell us when you book and we will make sure you see everything comfortably.
